You can now peep all of the songs from Ethical's debut release, the "Coming Of Age E.P". This E.P is a digital only release that will be available physically in very limited quantities and sold at Eth's shows early in the New Year. Otherwise, it will of course be available to you and yours via iTunes and all other fine digital music suppliers in mid-January 2008.

The lead-off track "Talk Of The Town" is available for purchase on iTunes now. "Talk Of The Town" is the only track that will feature on both the E.P and his upcoming album "Ages Turn".

New SMASHPROOF photo shoot and album info:

Things are starting to gear up at MTC HQ for the upcoming Smashproof debut album. Here is a sampling of their new pics from the photo shoot that was featured during Ethical's "My Effin Diary Part 5". Recording will start for the new album in February. Smashproof , Cochise and Juse will head to a location up North and spend a month or so tracking and mixing the album. So if you're a beat-maker, please get your beat CD's to MTC HQ ASAP. In the meantime, the boys are working on a theme-based mixtape that will street prior to the official album. We anticipate that this album will be released June/July 08.

MTC and SCRIBE lead Nesian Vibes Awards nominations for 2007:

The second annual Nesian Vibes Awards returns for 2007 with voting now open, honouring New Zealand’s finest artists and their contribution to the music scene both in Australia and across the Tasman, and this year’s nominees sees a battle between Scribe and Young Sid across 4 categories. Also in contention for a number of awards include PNC with 3, and 4 Corners and Tyree and Aaradhna each with two.

This years Nesian Vibes Awards features 7 categories including Best Local Kiwi Artists, with the show currently on the search for the Best Unsigned Kiwi or Islander based in Australia. Entries for this category close this Friday, December 14, so there isn’t too much time to get them in either via a link to nesianvibes@hotmail.com, or to Groove headquarters.

Listeners from around the nation are encouraged to vote by logging on HERE and sending a message with their names and details to go in the running for some fantastic prizes thanks to Grindin Records & Dawn Raid Entertainment. The single is produced by Emile and the video is produced and directed by our man Andrew Morton. PIMP C found dead:

UGK group member Chad “Pimp C.” Butler was found dead in a hotel room this morning, according to reports. Firefighters responded to a 911 call placed from the Mondrian Hotel on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California. The rapper was found dead in his bed in a sixth floor hotel room. Details are still emerging.

Now that is so sad! R.I.P Pimp!
